For the most part, it is not individual foods that are inherently healthy, it is the overall lifestyle, including diet and exercise, that can be considered healthy or not. Therefore, the healthiest meats are the ones which fit the best into your overall diet plan and help you meet your goals.
Having said that, there are some general guidelines that you can follow. Try to pick a meat that is low in sodium, and saturated fat. Also, the preparation of meats can sometimes add a great deal of calories and sodium. It doesn’t matter which meat you are using, if you are deep frying it with a ton of salt laden seasonings.
