Everyone has problem areas (stomach, arms, legs...) they want to improve and exercising/dieting are the only ways to do it. A lot of people want to believe that they can tone a certain area of their body but unfortunately this isn't possible. If there is a layer of fat covering your triceps or abs, doing a million sit ups or tricep extensions won't help you at all. You have to burn the layer of fat that is covering your muscles. When we lose weight, we can't choose where the fat comes off of. The only thing we can do is exercise and diet. Eventually the fat will come off of the problem areas. There are no creams or exercises that will take fat off of one part of the body. To burn fat, you have to start a calorie restricted diet. If you consume 2000 calories per day and burn 2500, your body will draw on its fat stores to make up for the calories it isn't getting through food. By doing this, your body fat percentage will decrease and your muscles will begin to show when there is less fat covering them. For more ways to get toned, visit the Guide to Reducing Body Fat.
